PRACTICE NURSES
Our Practice Nurses see patients by appointment only. Their clinics run from 9.30am to 12 noon and from 3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday.
They are able to offer advice and treatment on:
Routine Immunisations
Travel Immunisations
Diet and Exercise
Ear Syringing
Minor Injuries
Urine Testing
Well Woman Checks
Well Man Checks
Pessary Fitting
Contraception
Menopause/HRT
Chronic Diseases: Diabetes, Heart Disease, Stroke, Asthma and COPD.
District nurses
The District Nursing team are employed by the local Primary Care Trust and work as part of the Old Leake team. They will see patients who require dressings, injections, removal of sutures, treatment for leg ulcers and other district nursing procedures.

Health visitors
The Health Visitors are available to give advice to mothers with children under five, particularly concerning health matters, feeding and social problems. They also carry out checks on the development of these children.
They run a WELL BABY CLINIC on a Tuesday afternoon between 2pm and 3.30pm. They can be contacted on: 01205 870786.
Maternity care
This is usually carried out by the district midwife and your chosen doctor in co-operation.
