Acute prescriptions
We have an onsite dispensary, so for many of our patients, a full dispensing service is available. In this case, if your doctor decides you require a prescription, it will be provided by our dispensing staff shortly after your consultation finishes. If the doctor has seen you at home, the prescription will become available for collection during the evening surgery hours or when the doctor advises. Non-dispensing patients will receive a prescription form to take to a local pharmacy.
Repeat prescriptions
A doctor may decide you need to carry on with a particular treatment for a longer period of time. To order repeat medication, you can use your repeats slip, which is enclosed with your medication; or telephone our dedicated prescription phone line : 01205 871381, between 9am and 6.30pm; or alternatively, order them by CLICKING HERE.
In all cases, your medication will be available for collection 48 working hours later. Occasionally at busy times, the service may take longer - the receptionist will advise wherever possible.
URGENT SUPPLY OF MEDICINES
If a situation should arise where you require your medication urgently, please contact our receptionists, explain the situation, and they will endeavour to help wherever possible.
Please be patient with our dispensers. They make up hundreds of prescriptions accurately and safely each day, and work as fast as they possibly can.
