Clinics

Flu Clinics
Flu clinics are being held on Saturday October 15th and October 22nd. You are only eligible to receive a flu vaccination if you are aged 65 or over, are a carer, pregnant or suffer from one of the following illnesses:

  • Diabetes
  • Asthma requiring inhaled or systemic steroids
  • COPD
  • Chronic Heart Disease
  • Chronic Kidney Disease
  • Chronic Liver Disease
  • Chronic Neurological Disease
  • Immunosuppression (or if you live with an immunosuppressed patient)
  • Stroke/TIA
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Diseases of Central Nervous System

Invitations to attend for your flu vaccination are being sent out to eligible patients and we urge you all to have a vaccination if you have been identified as being at risk.

If you have received your letter please book your appointment here using SystmOne.

Anticoagulation Clinics
For our patients who are on Warfarin and other anticoagulants, we run an Anticoagulation clinic, on a Tuesday afternoon and a Friday morning.
Appointments are made via our receptionists.

Phlebotomy ( Blood samples)
Old Leake patients who require blood tests to be taken can book in to this clinic, which is run on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Remember to ask the receptionists for an early appointment if you need to fast overnight for your test (usually for cholesterol /lipids or kidney (renal) function tests). You can also book into the clinic using SystmOnline.

Smoking Cessation Clinics
For the best possible health, we advise all of our patients to be non-smokers. We can offer advice and support to smokers through our smoking cessation clinics. Appointments for the clinic can be arranged via our receptionists.

Maternity Care
This is usually carried out by the district midwife and your chosen doctor in co-operation. The midwife can be contacted via our receptionists.

Minor Surgery
Make a routine appointment for a consultation with your chosen doctor to discuss the problem.

Contraception
We offer a full contraceptive service to our patients, including the pill, injections, caps, implants, and coils. The various options can be discussed at a routine appointment with a doctor or practice nurse.

Dermatology
Dr. Sinha runs a skin clinic every two weeks, where unusual skin lumps, bumps and rashes can be inspected and assessed. Attendance is by appointment, via the Reception.
